The Lloyd George House is the second in my Heritage House Series. It is located in Dildo and was featured on my 1995 calendar.

"Evening in Brigus"

Above is the watercolour for, my new print, "Evening in Brigus". The idea came when I was drawing the top picture for the 2009 calendar.

I plan to have the print finished for the The Fine Craft & Design Fair 2008, Nov 20- 23th, at the St. John’s Convention Centre.

New Library Cards

At left is my design for the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries Card. This is my first design for a card with a bar code. It was a fun project and features my dog Holly on the right and Todger a wonderful Newfoundland female on the left.

The library has given me and my family many hours of reading pleasure. When my Mother was no longer able to read, the library kept her supplied with talking books. These audio books allowed Mommy to continue enjoying "reading", long after her sight had failed. It was my pleasure to donate my design for the new card.

The 2006-07 kindergarten students are the first people in the province to receive the new cards. On December 15, 06 I had the great honour and pleasure of giving my grand niece Leah Kenny her first library card! I can only hope Leah inherits the love of reading, that has come down through the previous generations. There is nothing quite like a good book!

Web Design

I have just finished a site for a long time friend Gill Campbell. Gill (Gillian) now lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia. While she lived in Newfoundland, we became good friends with many interests in common. I was thrilled when she asked me to work on her web site! I knew Gill wasn't afraid of colour and trying new things. We had a great time designing her site together. We renewed our friendship and found we are still compatible creatively. Gill is an amazing cook. If you only ever take one recipe off of the internet, I recommend her Hot and Cheese Cornbread. It's the best!
