2008 Calendar

The 2008 Cotton calendar measures 15 3/8" x 43" and is printed using Charcoal ink on cotton fabric.

The Top Drawing is of "Brigus"

Brigus is Celebrating Bartlett 2009 – Artic Explorer. Born in Brigus in 1875 and his Brigus home was Hawthorne Cottage which is a National Historic Site. Captain Bob Bartlett is famous for the North Pole trek of 1909.

The Middle Drawing is of "Conche "

Conche is found on a small peninsula on the North East tip of Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula. It has a deep harbour that runs the length of the community..

The Bottom Drawing is "Down on the Wharf "

This is a common scene here in Newfoundland. Wharves have long been not only a place for boats to tie up, but a social place to exchange the local news.

The Calendars are printed on
both white and natural colour cotton.

The pictures are hand drawn by Donna Clouston, each calendar is silkscreen printed by Donna and friends in her studio near St. John's, Newfoundland
